Derek Keimel is the Director of Legal Technologies at Oppenheim + Zebrak, LLP, where he leads the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions that support the firm’s litigation practice. He works closely with partners, associates, and staff to optimize workflows, enhance data management, and improve overall operational efficiency.

In his role, Derek serves as the firm’s primary IT professional and the chief administrator of its legal technology platforms. Over his seven years at O+Z, he has played a central role in maintaining and advancing the firm’s digital infrastructure, ensuring that its legal technology remains secure and effective. Derek leverages his deep knowledge of the firm’s systems to deliver reliable solutions that support both internal operations and client services.

Prior to O+Z, Derek worked for Library Services at The University of New Brunswick where he also received his undergraduate degree in Political Science.
