O+Z Recognized as Leader in Intellectual Property and Copyright Law

Washington, D.C. (June 11, 2024) — Oppenheim + Zebrak, LLP (“O+Z”) has been recognized again this year by independent legal rankings organizations — Chambers and Partners and Managing IP — as leaders in intellectual property and copyright law.

Chambers and Partners has ranked the firm overall for Intellectual Property: Litigation in Washington, D.C., and says it “is a well-regarded boutique offering significant IP litigation expertise. … The team handles high-stakes disputes involving copyright infringement, licensing and royalty issues, and breach of contract.”

One client told Chambers, “Oppenheim + Zebrak are very aggressive and very creative in pursuing theories to protect trademark and copy[right] owners’ rights. They bring a lot of creativity and skill and wisdom to this area of the law.” Another client said O+Z “is an impressive firm with a deep bench.”

Both Managing Partner Matt Oppenheim and Co-Founding Partner Scott Zebrak have also been recognized by Chambers this year for Intellectual Property: Litigation in D.C. In addition to the Chambers recognition, Matt, Scott, Alex, and partner Jeff Gould were selected by Managing IP magazine’s IP STARS as Copyright Stars for 2024. Managing IP notes its individual attorney rankings are based on independent assessments of practitioners and that it “ranks individuals who are highly regarded by their peers and/or clients or those that are integral to their firm’s success or reputation.”
